Rutland Regional Medical Center is excited to offer a FREE Couch to 5k Training Program to the community. This program will prepare you to run a 5k in 9 weeks.
The idea is to guide participants gradually into the running program so that the 5k, which is 3.1 miles, can be successfully achieved. This free training will be led by coaches from Rutland Regional and involves 30 minute sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
This program is designed for those who have been leading an inactive lifestyle but who want to start being active. The Couch to 5k training program will help improve your condition over 9 weeks to enable you to run a 5k.
There will sessions from 7:30-8am or 5-5:30pm and the training will begin on April 13 and go through June 12, 2015. This program is for those over age 18 and there are a limited number of registrations available.
The training program will be held at Rutland Regional’s Loop, located at 160 Allen Street. For more information or to register for this program please call 802.772.2400. There are morning and evening training slots available.
