The Foley Cancer Center delivers the finest and most advanced available cancer treatments to patients on an outpatient basis. Afterward, patients may return home to recover with the support of family and friends.
The Center treats all kinds of cancers aggressively, evaluating each patient before, during and after treatment. The same, collaborative team of caregivers provides personalized care throughout the treatment process.
The Foley Cancer Center’s available treatment technologies include high-tech diagnostic imaging, medical oncology with traditional IV therapies (such as chemotherapy), and radiation oncology featuring a state-of-the-art linear accelerator.
Rutland Regional Medical Center is pleased to be Vermont’s first hospital to offer IMRT, or Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy. This super-accurate radiation treatment precisely targets cancerous tumors while avoiding surrounding, healthy tissues. It is ideal for use in people with prostate, head, neck, breast and other types of cancers.
Foley Cancer Center patients and their families also may access clinical trials, educational programs, support groups, informational resources and more.
