Safe Sitter Babysitting Courses
These courses are designed for 11- to 13-year old girls and boys interested in becoming a "Safe Sitter".
During this two-day program, students will learn about:
* Babysitting as a Business
* Success on the Job
* Child Care Essentials
* Safety for the Sitter
* Preventing Injuries
* Handling Emergencies
* Preventing Problem Behavior
* Basic Child Care Skills
* Growth & Development.
* Care of Choking Infants & Children
2010 Course Dates are as follows:
- February 20 & 21
- March 13 & 14
- April 10 & 11
- May 8 & 15
- June 5 & 6
- July 10 & 17
- August 14 & 15
- September 25 & October 2
- October 23 & 24
- November 6 & 7
- December 4 & 5
Class times are usually 9am - 4pm each day
Fee is $60. Scholarships are offered based on financial need.
Class size is limited to eight. Pre-registration is required.
