This course is designed for 11- to 13-year old girls and boys interested in becoming a "Safe Sitter". During this two-day program, students will learn about:
- Babysitting as a Business
- Success on the Job
- Child Care Essentials
- Safety for the Sitter
- Preventing Injuries
- Handling Emergencies
- Preventing Problem Behavior
- Basic Child Care Skills
- Growth & Development
- Care of Choking Infants & Child
Class times are usually 9am - 4pm each day. Fee is $60. Scholarships are offered based on financial need. Class size is limited to eight. Pre-registration is required.
