Have you ever wondered what it would be like to save someone’s life? The Marrow Donor Program at Rutland Regional Medical Center is pleased to offer you a chance to find out.
Every day, thousands of patients are searching for a life-saving donor – someone like you. Be The Match Registry, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), is dedicated to creating an opportunity for all patients to receive the marrow transplant they need, when they need it.
Millions have joined Be The Match Registry, but there are still not enough donors to meet the needs of all patients. We need your help!
Join Be The Match Registry: Join online at http://join.marrow.org. When asked to provide a “Promo Code”, please enter RRMC1109. (the code changes monthly to the current month and year) Joining is easy. Patients need donors who are between the ages of 18 and 60, in good general health, and are willing to donate to any patient in need.
You can join online at no cost due to the fundraising efforts of the Marrow Donor Program at RRMC. Fundraisers are held throughout the year so there is never any cost to Vermonters who wish to register as a marrow donor. RRMC is the only hospital in New England to offer this type of program.
Fund hope for the future: Make a tax-deductible gift to help add new members to the Registry, provide patient assistance and education. Your contribution will stay in Vermont and help Vermonters in need. Please contact Kerry Ellis at 802.747.6267 or kellis@rrmc.org to find out more information.
Spread the word: Tell your family and friends about the critical need for more donors on the Be the Match Registry and ways they can support Be The Match’s life-saving work. If you’re interested in hosting a marrow registration drive in your community, please contact Kerry Ellis at 802.747.6267 or kellis@rrmc.org.
Do it because you care. Do it because you can. Thank you.
