Orthopaedic Services Patients seeking relief from orthopaedic problems and conditions have access to some of the nation's finest, most innovative physicians and surgeons at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Together with our affiliate, Vermont Orthopaedic Clinic, the hospital provides both surgical and non-invasive symptom relief and improvement mobility for patients with sports injuries and chronic conditions such as arthritis.
VOC's Board Certified orthopaedic surgeons perform thousands of specialized orthopaedic surgeries each year. Specialty inpatient and outpatient procedures include arthroscopic joint surgery, hand surgery, spine surgery, hip resurfacing, joint and ligament reconstruction, and replacement of the knee, hip and other joints.
For patients undergoing joint replacement, the hospital partners with VOC to provide the Joint Replacement Program. The program provides care planning before and after surgery, specialized orthopaedic nursing care during recovery, physical and occupational therapy, case management, and post-surgical rehabilitation services.
Joint Replacement Program patients typically enjoy shortened recovery times and optimal surgical results. Vermont Orthopaedic Clinic's Board Certified orthopaedic surgeons are fellows of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.
