Pulmonology Services

Cardiopulmonary Services at Rutland Regional Medical Center includes Respiratory Therapy Services, administered by highly trained Respiratory Therapists, and Pulmonology Testing.

Respiratory Therapy benefits patients who need assistance with their breathing. Cardiopulmonary Services provides round-the-clock respiratory care throughout the hospital, to patients of all ages. Specialty respiratory care is available for patients in the hospital's Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program and Asthma Clinic.

Patients in the Ventilator Unit at Neighboring Eden Park nursing home also receive treatment from Rutland Regional Medical Center's more than 20 respiratory therapists. This unique unity is Vermont's only 24-hour-per-day, 7-days-a-week, long-term ventilator care facility.

Pulmonology technicians provide a variety of essential cardiopulmonary tests including echocardiology, EKG, cardiac stress testing, Holter monitoring, EEG, pulmonary stress testing and pulmonary function testing. Testing is available by physician referral.

Our pulmonology professionals also work within the hospital's Sleep Center to help determine the causes of sleep disorders.
