Pulmonology Services

Cardiopulmonary Services at Rutland Regional Medical Center include Respiratory Therapy Services, administered by highly trained Respiratory Therapists.

Respiratory Therapy benefits patients who need assistance with their breathing. Respiratory Services provides round-the-clock respiratory care throughout the hospital, to patients of all ages. Specialty respiratory care is available for patients in the hospital's Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program and Asthma Clinic.

Patients in the Ventilator Unit at neighboring The Pines at Rutland nursing home also receive treatment from Rutland Regional Medical Center's respiratory therapists. This unique unity is Vermont's only 24-hours-per-day, 7-days-a-week, long-term ventilator care facility.

Respiratory Therapists provide a variety of essential pulmonary tests including pulmonary function testing. Testing is available by physician referral.
