Tyler has been working at iSPORT since 2008 and has become integral in designing and implementing rehabilitation programs for adolescent, collegiate, and professional athletes. While working closely with iSPORT Director Bill Knowles, he has also become very proficient in designing athletic development programs (sports performance) for high school and college teams that reduce injury rates and improve performance.
Tyler graduated from Castleton State College in VT as a Certified Athletic Trainer. He spent four years playing on the men’s Ice Hockey Team during his undergraduate time at Castleton. This necessitated many hours in the weight room and gym developing the skills necessary to compete at the collegiate level. This experience has allowed him to understand the needs of injured athletes and what is ultimately required to get back to competition at a higher level than before the injury. He continues to be active in post-collegiate hockey leagues as a player.
The number of world-class and professional athletes that come to iSPORT on a regular basis has provided Tyler the opportunity that few professional ATCs ever receive. This experience has given him insight as to what is required in designing and implementing world-class programs for athletes of all ages.
