Tarryn is a 2013 graduate from Castleton State College in VT where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. Through her clinical experiences, she worked with a variety of Castleton teams and completed an internship at the Orthopedic Clinic in Greenfield, MA. Due to her academic success, she is a lifetime member of the Iota Tau Alpha Athletic Training National Honors Society.
Tarryn was a four year member of the women's basketball team, and left the program as the all-time winningest player in Castleton's history; this includes a conference and regional championship. The countless hours that she dedicated in workouts, practices and competitions have given her insight into the positive impact that athletic participation can have on an individual's life.
The combination of her clinical and athletic experiences has provided Tarryn with a unique understanding of dual perspectives when recovering from an injury. She has treated, and been treated, for many sports related injuries throughout her lifetime. Having an understanding of both the athlete and ATC viewpoint has proven to be beneficial when integrating rehabilitation exercises and skill development to progress athletes back into competition. She understands athletes' needs and focuses to help them successfully compete at high levels after injuries.
Tarryn is currently the head Athletic Trainer at Otter Valley Union High School and works as a Physician Extender at Vermont Orthopaedic Clinic.
