Established in 1996 in memory of the late Rutland Regional Medical Center President/CEO James T. Bowse, the Community Health Trust works to create a healthier community through funding collaborative, community-based health programs.
Each year, the Trust awards grants to new projects that improve access and affordability of health and human services, increase prevention efforts that lead to healthier lifestyles and reduce substance abuse.
Since it began, the Trust has awarded more than $3 million to 42 programs.
Grant Recipients Include:
- Say it Straight, hosted by Rutland Area Prevention (RAP)
- AXIS hosted by Rutland Area Farm and Food Link (RAFFL)
- RSSU Transitions, hosted by Rutland South Supervisory Union (RSSU)
- GROW (Get Rid of Waste), hosted by Lothrop Elementary School
- It's a Gril Thing, hosted by Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains
Grant Cycle Deadlines:
- Planning Grants/Letter of Intent ~ June 15
- Request for Proposals ~ September 15
