About The Health Information Library...
- The Library is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is a trained medical librarian on staff Monday through Thursday. It is best to call ahead if you'd like some help finding information to be sure the librarian will be available to help, or to request information be mailed to you. Call 747-3777. The Library is not staffed on Fridays.
- Physicians, nurses, health care professionals, and students use the professional books, journalsl and electronic databases in the Health Information Library to learn the latest research and recommendations for treatment of medical conditions, patient safety, medications, and more.
- Patients, their families and other members of the Rutland community use the Library's consumer health resources to learn about their own wellness and medical conditions. The consumer health area includes books, videos, handouts and a computer. Many of the consumer health materials were purchased with help from the RRMC Auxiliary, the Southern Vermont Area Health Education Center and from donations to the Foley Cancer Center.
