Sharing experiences, challenges and solutions in a group setting often creates a common bond and nurtures new friendships. All groups are free and open to the public. Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) – Alcoholics Anonymous® is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Al-Anon/Al-Ateen – The Al-Anon/Alateen Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength and hope, in order to solve their common problems. We believe that alcoholism is a family illness and that changed attitudes can aid recovery. Arthritis - Rheumatoid Support Group - A time to share stories, provide support, suggest strategies and tips for dealing with RA. There will be guest speakers and time to simply socialize with others living with RA. This is a new group. The first meeting will be on Monday, May 16 at 6:30pm at 6 Court Street, Rutland. Cancer Caregivers Support Group (Tea for the Soul) - This group provides a place for caregivers of cancer patients to meet with other caregivers, and break the isolation that often comes with being the primary caregiver of another person. Cancer Support Group – "Anyone experiencing a cancer diagnosis" Group is free of charge and will be facilitated by a trained social worker. Parent Support Group - Monthly support group for parents with children with Asperger's or Asperger-Like Behaviors.
