Community Health Needs Assessment Survey

Not-for-profit hospitals, such as RRMC, are required by federal law to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment every three years.

The purpose of this community-wide review is to help to identify and assess the true health needs and status of our community.

If you are a Rutland County resident, please take a few minutes to complete our survey so that we may include your input in the review.

Healthy Heart Day

Rutland Heart Center Hosts “Healthy Heart Day”

Rutland, VT – February is Heart Health Month. In recognition of this national wellness observance, Rutland Heart Center is hosting an event on February 5th from 11am to 4pm at the Diamond Run Mall in Rutland. Their healthcare professionals will be on hand to discuss various topics or concerns associated with maintaining a healthy heart and preventing heart disease. Come and learn more about the risks, how the heart works, what you can do to improve your heart health, pacemakers, proper diet, exercise, smoking cessation programs, and much more.

Experience for the first time in Vermont the MEGA Heart™ an inflatable, walk-through exhibit that allows you to step inside the human heart. Health screenings such as blood pressure and oxygen levels will be available. The staff at the Rutland Heart Center encourages families to come and take advantage of this fun, interactive event that will answer all your questions about how to properly care of your heart.

For more information please call 802.772.2400 or email communityeducation@rrmc.org. This event is free and open to the public.

arrrowMajor Advancements at Rutland Regional

There are major advancements underway at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Nearly every hospital function is being impacted by our conversion to a new computer system featuring the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Over time, this new system will help to provide for better and more efficient care for our patients and all of our other business practices, such as billing, lab work and requisitions. However, this conversion alters the way our staff does business. As we become more comfortable with this new system there may be occasions when work flow is a little slower than usual. This is temporary, but we don’t want you, our customer, to be caught by surprise.

Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding as we implement this important new system.
