Community Cancer Center Receives Partner Award

The Community Cancer Center at Rutland Regional Medical Center is the proud recipient of the 2007 Partner Award from the American Cancer Society. Rutland Regional has been successful drawing on grants from the American Cancer Society for community outreach on breast and colon cancer. The American Cancer Society has also recognized that Rutland Regional is a Commission on Cancer approved program. In order to be an approved Commission on Cancer program, facilities are required to provide high quality care for patients in the following categories: Diagnostic, Treatment, Clinical, Rehabilitation, Support, Prevention, and Early Detection.
Rutland Regional provides patient programs such as the “Man to Man Support Group”, “Look Good Feel Better”, and is a participant and sponsor for “Relay for Life” held by the American Cancer Society.
