*Cardiology — Invasive, Non-Interventional Cardiologist, Rutland VT

We are looking for a full-time, Fellowship trained Invasive, Non-Interventional Cardiologist to join a team of three cardiologists. This is a hospital employed opportunity. Rutland Heart Center is a busy, well established practice of four physicians and one Nurse Practitioner. The practice consists of diagnostic catheterization, pacemaker insertion, TEE, peripheral vascular and femoral artery disease post surgical management, ECHO, and Nuclear. The practice is located across the street from the hospital. Call 1:4. Guaranteed base salary with productivity incentive bonus. Expected earnings will be in the 75th percentile or greater.

Family Practice or Internal Medicine — Outpatient Only — FQHC

We are looking for a Family Practitioner or Internist to join an FQHC group in our community - Community Health Centers of the Rutland Region (CHCRR). Rutland Regional Medical Center is assisting CHCRR with this search as they are a vital part of our community.

Must be board-certified or board-eligible. Residency trained.

5 days per week, shifts, with some weekend rounding.

Admissions will be referred to the Hospitalist program.

Hospitalist Nocturnist — Internist

We are looking for an Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our team of fifteen. We are the second largest hospital in the state and licensed for 188 beds. Our hospitalist program began in 2000. This is an employed opportunity, caring for the inpatients of the peripheral primary care practices who have signed on for coverage. Clinical Nurse Coordinators are assigned to work closely with the hospitalists to move patients through the hospital system efficiently and arrange discharge planning. 12 shifts in 28 days. 9pm-7am. No ICU responsibility. ICU is covered by three fulltime intensivists. 

Must be board-certified or board-eligible. Eligibility is within five year of completion of training.

Gastroenterology — Hospital Employed

We are looking for a full-time Gastroenterologist for our community.  This is a hospital employed position. There are three gastroenterologists in our community. ERCP skills desired.

Approximately 3,000 cases are done by the gastroenterologists annually in our State-of-the-Art Endoscopy Suite that has four procedure rooms. The suite is ASGE recognized. Olympus scopes and processors. Caring and competent staff with over half GI certified.  Outpatient practice is located in a separate building across the street from the hospital.

Emergency Physician — Hospital Employed

Full-time employed position. 19 room state-of-the-art department.

1593 scheduled work hours annually for full-time position. Paid vacation annually, 5% of worked time, increases to 8% with 5 years of service.

ABEM Board Certified Emergency Physician with at least two years clinical experience preferred. Board-eligible physicians will certainly be considered, but must be within 5 years of completion of residency with plans to become boarded.

9- hour shifts; Full-time physician covers 15 shifts per month. 45 hours of MD coverage per day.

Tertiary care center support by either Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center or The University of Vermont Medical Center with ground or helicopter transport available. Digital X-ray (GE) and department ultrasound (Sonosite). 24 hour radiology and lab services available. The hospital is licensed for 188 beds. Service area 85,000. $4000 annual CME allowance. Cerner EMR. Scribes are used for all physicians and we are using a model of immediate bedding.

Endocrinologist — Hospital Employed

We are looking for a full-time Endocrinologist to join our team of 3. We are the second largest hospital in the state and licensed for 133 beds. This is a busy, well established practice with a team that consists of Advanced Practice Providers and Dietitians. 

Must be board-certified or board-eligible. Eligibility is within five years of completion of training.

Neurologist (Neurohospitalist/Inpatient and Outpatient) — Hospital Employed

We are looking for a Neurologist to practice in our community and join one neurologist already in the community. This will be a hospital employed position. Call 1:4. We are redesigning our neurology services and will now have one neurologist in the office seeing outpatients for seven days, while the other neurologist will be hospital based.

NP — Urgent Care — FQHC site

Community Health Centers of the Rutland Region (CHCRR) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with a minimum of two years of experience, who enjoys and is able to work with a high degree of autonomy.  This position is an employed position with CHCRR, which is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC.)

Nurse Practitioner — Gastroenterology — Hospital Employed

We are looking to add a nurse practitioner to our busy Digestive Services. This is a newly created position and a hospital employed position.  We hope to find someone with experience working in an outpatient GI practice. The NP will see new patients and follow-up patients in the office setting. Occasional call with some weekends.

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Methadone Clinic

The West Ridge Center for Addiction Recovery is licensed Opiate Treatment Program operated by Rutland Regional Medical Center. This position is hospital employed  2 days per week with flexibility of hours. 

We provide medication assisted treatment and comprehensive mental health and substance abuse services to more than 400 patients.  We also act as regional center of excellence for opiate addiction treatment.  The part-time AP (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) will work directly with Medical Director.

Within the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) the AP will provide somatic care for patients with opioid addiction, in the context of patients presenting for treatment for addiction:

  • Analyze and interpret patients’ history, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses;
  • Counsel patients about drug regimens and possible side effects or interactions with other substances such as foods, supplements, over-the-counter (OTC) medications, and herbal remedies;
  • Detect and respond to adverse drug reactions, with special attention to vulnerable populations such as pregnant and lactating women, and older adults;
  • Collaborate on integrated treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines;
  • Educate patients about self-management of acute and/or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients’ individual circumstances.

Nurse Practitioner /Phys Asst — Urology

We are looking for a NP or PA with experience in a Urology practice.   This is a hospital owned position.  There will be some call.  No OR assist responsibility.  Very busy practice that is transitioning to a hospital owned practice.  There is one Urologist.  We plan to add another MD.  No Robotics.  No weekend office hours.

We are looking for a full-time OB/Gyn to join our team of four, caring for both inpatient and outpatient. We are the second largest hospital in Vermont and licensed for 133 beds. This is a hospital employed position. The outpatient office is located directly across the street from the hospital. Labor & Delivery suite with adjoining OR suite.

Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon — Hospital Employed

We are looking for a full-time, Fellowship trained in joint replacement, to join team of five orthopaedists. This opportunity allows for general orthopaedic practice too. Vermont Orthopaedic Clinic is a busy established practice of six physicians and five physician assistants. Compensation is productivity based with a guaranteed base salary.

Expected earnings will be in the 75th percentile or greater. One of our clinics is at the base of the largest ski area in the East. Psychologist — Hospital Employed

We are looking for a Psychologist to expand our outpatient Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Spine program services. The ideal candidate will serve as our Behaviorist during Shared Medical Appointments, as well as provide health psychology and pain management services to a primarily adult population. The primary practice focus is chronic musculoskeletal health with some neurologic conditions and opportunities may be explored in other fields including cardiopulmonary, sleep and oncology. Candidates should be skilled in diagnostic testing and assessment of individual and group psychotherapy, treatment plan development and implementation, consultative services and coordination of care. We are looking for a candidate who has completed a Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and has completed an APA approved internship. Patient population practice will see all ages, but primarily adult. This is a Monday-Friday position, with patient hours scheduled in a 40 hour work week. No call. We are the second largest hospital in the state and licensed for 188 beds — daily average census of 100-125.

Urologist — Hospital Employed

We are looking for a urologist to practice in our community as a hospital employed physician, employed by Rutland Regional Medical Center. Robotics not required. Laparoscopic preferred.

Practice will be located in an existing office with a urologist, who has practiced in Rutland since 1986. The office is a short walk across the street from the hospital.
