Life in Vermont

Vermont has long been a beautiful vacation destination whose beauty and serenity can be enjoyed year round. Both the Long Trail and Appalachian Trail pass through Vermont near the city of Rutland. 

Rutland is a classic New England city with a population of 20,000, situated between Green Mountains to the east and the Taconics Mountains to the west. The main industry is General Electric, however, numerous smaller industries as well as tourism remain vital to the area, including skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, boating, hiking, and scenic touring.
