The Breast Care Program

The Breast Care Program provides women with the comprehensive screening, diagnostic, treatment and support services needed for optimal breast health.
As committed to preventing breast disease as treating it, our expert clinicians provide individualized, multidisciplinary care and the latest technologies to find cancer early, when it is most treatable. When an abnormal result is found, our location within Rutland Regional Medical Center means referrals for specialty care or further testing are quick and seamless – leading to less wait, and less worry.
Our Breast Health Specialist
Guiding and supporting women through this process is a Certified Breast Patient Care Navigator available to answer questions, offer guidance and, in some cases, just listen. This breast health specialist works one-on-one with women to:
- Schedule and coordinate medical appointments
- Provide needed breast health education
- Help find appropriate community resources
- Encourage wellness
- Explain available complementary therapies and support services
- Offer hope and encouragement
- Refer patients to a financial specialist within the hospital who can help with insurance coverage and payment issues
State-of-the-Art Treatment for Breast Cancer
When chemotherapy, radiation therapy or surgery is needed, patients have access to proven care and state-of-the-art treatments at the Foley Cancer Center. In some cases, treatment planning done with partners at other cancer centers ensures that the breast care delivered at Rutland Regional is nothing less than the best.
The Breast Care Program is a member of the National Consortium of Breast Care Centers. The Mammography department is accredited by the American College of Radiology and is inspected yearly by the FDA. A board-certified radiologist reviews and interprets all mammograms.
