Our cardiologists are available 24/7 and provide emergency evaluation and treatment for patients who are experiencing a range of cardiac symptoms, including:
- Chest discomfort or pain
- Pain or discomfort in the upper body
- Unexplained shortness of breath
- Other heart attack symptoms such as cold sweats, nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness, anxiety or indigestion
Our cardiologists will thoroughly and efficiently evaluate you using cardiac emergency protocols that meet or exceed national standards. If your condition requires admission to the hospital, our staff will transfer you to our cardiac floor for treatment, testing or monitoring.
If you require emergency surgery or specialized treatment, our cardiologists get you the help you need right away through partnerships with cardiac specialists at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and The University of Vermont Medical Center. In addition to stabilizing your condition and preparing you to move to one of our partner hospitals, our cardiologists will work with the partner cardiac team to assure a seamless transition and complete follow-up care.
