Shared Governance

At Rutland Regional Medical Center we believe the nurses who provide our clinical services are experts in their field. Their participation and leadership are critical to achieving our vision to be the best community hospital in the region.

Our shared governance model provides the structure by which our nurses can participate in making decisions that affect the delivery of nursing care. Our Center of Nursing Excellence, organized via a council structure, gives our nursing staff the opportunity to shape and understand the core elements of our nursing practice. It is a shared governance model that promotes staff involvement and gives all staff a voice through the Councils and their unit representatives.
