
Food & Nutrition Services
Food & Nutrition Services at Rutland Regional Medical Center provides services and education to inpatients throughout the hospital. As part of the medical team, our dietitians work with individual patients to create a nutritional plan that addresses their physical condition, medical status and ongoing dietary needs.
Our registered dietitians, all credentialed by the American Dietetic Association, provide patients with the inpatient consultation and take home materials they need to manage conditions such as:
- Elevated Cholesterol
- Celiac Disease
- Diabetes – Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational
- Hypertension
- Chronic Heart Failure (CHF)
- Cancer
- Malnutrition
- Allergies
- Pneumonia
- Infectious Disease
- Wounds
- Obesity
- Bowel Resections
Our dietitians also provide patients with critical care nutrition, managing the tube feeding in the Intensive Care and Progressive Care units.
