At Rutland Regional Medical Center, vascular care and vascular surgery is provided by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team made up of experienced, board-certified cardiologists, radiologists and general surgeons. Patients with vascular disease are treated with a combination of medication management, diagnostic ultrasound, imaging and cardiac catheterization; and, when needed, vascular surgery.
- Lifestyle and Medication Management. Patients with vascular disease are prescribed medications proven to improve vascular conditions, as well as educated about the lifestyle changes that can help manage and prevent vascular disease, including not smoking (link to Tobacco Cessation Program); eating a diet low in fat and red meats; and keeping high blood pressure, high cholesterol and blood pressure under control.
- Diagnostic Services for Vascular Disease. We offer our vascular disease patients a full range of diagnostic procedures including ankle-brachial index (ABI), doppler ultrasound flow studies, duplex ultrasound and venogram.
- Vascular Surgery. Board-certified general surgeons have the expertise and experience needed to perform vascular surgery to treat a wide range of vascular conditions, including:
