Vascular Care
At Rutland Regional Medical Center, vascular care is provided by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team made up of experienced, board-certified cardiologists, radiologists and general surgeons. Services they provide include medication management; diagnostic ultrasound, imaging and cardiac catheterization; and, when needed, surgery.
- Lifestyle and Medication Management. Patients are prescribed medications proven to improve vascular conditions, as well as educated about the lifestyle changes that can help manage and prevent vascular disease, including not smoking (link to Tobacco Cessation Program); eating a diet low in fat and red meats; and keeping high blood pressure, high cholesterol and blood pressure under control.
- Diagnostic Services. We offer our vascular patients a full range of diagnostic procedures including ankle-brachial index (ABI), doppler ultrasound flow studies, duplex ultrasound and venogram.
- Surgery. Board-certified general surgeons have the expertise and experience needed to surgically treat a wide range of vascular conditions, including:
