Women’s Health Services

At Rutland Women’s Healthcare you will have access to a complete team of medical providers including gynecologists, obstetricians and specially trained nurses, all in one convenient location. Our services include:

  • Gynecological services. A full array of medical services and preventive care designed to meet your needs at every stage of life, from the teenage years to menopause and beyond.
  • Maternity services. If you are expecting a baby, we offer comprehensive services before, during and after pregnancy in a warm, nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Gynecological oncology services. We offer comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for women with ovarian, uterine, cervical or other forms of gynecological cancer, provided in partnership with Rutland Regional’s Foley Cancer Center and The University of Vermont Medical Center.
  • Surgical services. Our surgeons perform advanced minimally invasive surgical procedures for pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, endometriosis and other urogynecological conditions.

Convenient Health Screenings

Rutland Regional makes it easy for you to schedule a bone density test at the same time as a mammogram. Both tests are available five days per week and are performed during one appointment by the same technician. Call 802.747.1880 to make an appointment. Mammography appointments can be made directly by the patient, while bone density testing requires a doctor′s order.

Breast Screenings

The Rutland Breast Care Program provides the comprehensive screening, diagnostic, treatment and support services needed for optimal breast health. Imaging services include diagnostic mammogram, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and minimally invasive biopsy.

Bone Density Testing

This test is performed in the hospital by Diagnostic Imaging. It is especially important for women over 50, or past menopause, to keep track of their bone health and prevent, diagnose or manage osteoporosis.
