Volunteering at Rutland Regional
The role of volunteering is changing rapidly, and today’s volunteers are taking on more complex and vital responsibilities than the volunteers of a generation ago. At Rutland Regional Medical Center, our volunteers fill many roles and they make a difference – to our patients, to our staff and to our visitors.
Rutland Regional’s volunteers are empathic, proactive and involved, and they positively impact the patient experience, giving their contributions purpose and meaning. Last year, 378 volunteers – between the ages of 14 and 90 – gave 53,000 hours in 28 different areas of the hospital. Rutland Regional’s volunteers are a valued and integral part of the hospital team. By making a difference in others lives, our volunteers truly make Rutland Regional the best it can be.
