Adam Bates, MD, is a Hospitalist in the Hospital Medicine program at Rutland Regional. A Hospitalist is a fully qualified, experienced doctor who directs the care for most patients when they are admitted to a hospital. Hospitalists do everything that your primary care physician would do and they keep your doctor up-to-date on all of the treatment you undergo while you were in the hospital.
Dr. Bates worked as a hospitalist at Fletcher Allen Healthcare before joing Rutland Regional. He is also an Assistant Professor at the UVM College of Medicine. Dr. Bates is bilingual, having majored in French Language and Culture at Syracuse University.
