Radiation Oncologist Jason Beckta, MD, PhD has joined Rutland Regional’s Foley Cancer Center. Dr. Beckta’s extensive training and background in Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiobiology allow him to bring world-class cancer care to the Rutland community. Born and raised in Keene, NH, he is a New Englander at heart. Having lived and trained in several urban areas, Dr. Beckta is thrilled to be bringing his expertise to a rural community hospital.
Medicine is fundamentally a human connection, and to be a physician is to be an anchor for your patients at a time when they are experiencing some of life’s biggest challenges.
Dr. Beckta was drawn to Rutland Regional because of the deep connections that have been built between the Foley Cancer Center, the Rutland community and UVM Medical Center. Roots are important to him and finding a community hospital that offers exceptional cancer care in Vermont means he and his wife can raise their child, as well as their Great Dane rescue dog and two cats, in a place that feels like home.
