Donald L. Bloodworth, APRN

Biography

Originally from Lexington, South Carolina, Donald has been working in Emergency Departments in Vermont since 2017. Working for an organization that is community focused and cares about people is important to Donald and why he chose to come to Rutland Regional.

From a young age, Donald always had an interest in understanding how things work. Medicine became his passion when he saw the impact a doctor had on a very ill family member’s life. Being an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) combines his desire to care for others with his interests in mechanics and problem-solving.

“I believe greatly in developing trust with my patients, by listening to their concerns, in order to work together to find a resolution.”

Donald and his wife are building their homestead in Middletown Springs and awaiting the birth of their first child. An avid outdoorsman, Donald loves to play with his two dogs, go hiking and ski in the winter months. He enjoys the four seasons of Vermont and the strong community focus he’s found here.
