About Me

A graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Dr. Tessa Cattermole came to Vermont to complete her residency and internship in General Surgery and fell in love with the area. Dedicated to the challenge of helping people feel better, Dr. Cattermole chose to specialize in general surgery because sometimes surgery is the only way to meet that challenge.

I often meet folks on one of the worst days of their lives, when they are facing something very scary. Successfully guiding someone through that process and being able to help them feel better is incredibly fulfilling.
— Tessa Cattermole, MD

Dr. Cattermole works hard to treat all her patients as she would want her family to be treated. She adjusts how she interacts and provides care to patients depending on their needs and personal comfort. Communication is key, and she’s dedicated to ensuring patients understand the plan for their care as well as the next steps in the process.

An outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Cattermole found her home in Vermont, with the beautiful landscape and the welcoming communities. She and her husband live in Brandon, and she loves taking advantage of the hiking, cycling, and rock climbing activities throughout the region.
