About Me

Shannon grew up locally in Shrewsbury, VT. Shannon attended D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY, where she received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2000. Shannon also has a Minor in Spanish for the Health Professional. Her Master’s Project was on The Validity of McKenzie’s Repeated Movements as a Diagnostic Tool.

She has studied and worked in a variety of settings including: acute care, short and long term rehab, neurological rehabilitation, orthopedics and pediatrics. Shannon has primarily worked in outpatient orthopedics for the last 18 years including: Vermont Sports Medicine Center and Springfield Hospital. Shannon currently works in the inpatient setting on the surgical floor at Rutland Regional Medical Center. 

Shannon has completed continuing education coursework in multiple areas with an emphasis on manual therapy including: Mulligan, Pilates, Tai Chi, Hippotherapy, Muscle Energy Techniques, Women’s Health, Balance and Vestibular Rehabilitation, Kinesio Taping and Orthopedics. She is a member of The American Physical Therapy Association Orthopedics section.

Outside of work Shannon enjoys participating in and watching many sports, hiking, skiing and spending time with her family.
