About Me

Maddie grew up in Waterbury, VT where she attending the local schools and participated in dance classes at her local dance studio. She then branched out, completing her bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology at Ithaca College in 2020. While at Ithaca she also studied Psychology and Deaf Studies while running her own dance company. Maddie then went on to earn a master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Vermont in 2022. Maddie begins her professional practice in the outpatient and acute care settings at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

To build upon her skills, Maddie completed trainings in areas of dysphagia and voice. These trainings include Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile, SPEAK OUT!™ and LOUD Crowd™ and Lee Silverman Voice Treatment. Maddie also has an interest in trauma informed care and has researched the impact of adverse childhood experiences on speech and language development. Outside of work, Maddie enjoys going to yoga classes, spending time with friends and family, and curling up with a good book.
