Hamza Dar, OD, is an optometrist who has joined Marble Valley Eye Care, a department of Rutland Regional Medical Center. Dr. Dar grew up in the rural northeast and understands the importance of providing dedicated eye and health care services to underserved populations. Eye health is important to overall health, and as the population in Vermont ages, accessibility to eye care is essential, perhaps more than ever. After completing his doctorate at the New England College of Optometry, Dr. Dar pursued a residency in Primary Eye Care and Ocular Disease at the White River Junction VA Medical Center, right here in Vermont. This experience helped him learn to manage and treat a diverse range of ocular conditions.
I strive to treat my patients as unique individuals, not numbers. In order to build trust and provide the best care possible, it is imperative to spend quality time with each patient in order to address their concerns. It is a true privilege to serve our patient population.
Dr. Dar loves living in rural environments and enjoys the community hospital environment found here at Rutland Regional. He enjoys hiking, skiing, and traveling but most of all, spending time with his family.
