About Me

A former social worker, Courtney Gandee, APRN, transitioned to nursing early on in her career after watching a loved one receive extraordinary medical care during an inpatient stint at Rutland Regional Medical Center. The dedicated team of nurses, providers, and staff inspired her to a career in medicine.

Ms. Gandee spent several years working as an Operating Room nurse here at Rutland Regional before she and her family moved to Maine. During her time there, she worked in a behavioral care facility which allowed her to incorporate her background in social work into her nursing career. When she earned her Nurse Practitioner degree, Ms. Gandee knew she wanted to focus on psychiatry and behavioral health care.

I love the blend of nursing and social work found in behavioral healthcare, and the wide variety of patients I meet, each on a different journey towards optimizing their health.
— Courtney Gandee, APRN

Ms. Gandee and her family recently moved back to the Rutland area and are very excited to be back in a community they consider home. She loves to be outside, appreciating the beauty of Vermont, and enjoys yoga and singing.
