About Me

Michael Jacobs, MD, is an ophthalmologist at Rutland Regional Medical Center. He has over 20 years of experience providing comprehensive eye care for patients including treatment for cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.

Dr. Jacobs went into medicine because he truly cares about others and enjoys connecting with a wide variety of people across the spectrum of his practice. He chose to focus on ophthalmology because it is constantly evolving and technical in nature.

Originally from Georgia, Dr. Jacobs is a huge fan of the outdoors. He loves running and hiking, but mainly just being present and fully experiencing the natural world. Dr. Jacobs enjoys live music and delicious food of all kinds. He is looking forward to getting to know and becoming a part of the Rutland community.
