Biography
Veronika Jedlovszky, MD, has joined Rutland Pulmonary Center, and will also be seeing patients in the Center for Sleep Disorders.
After earning her Doctor of Medicine in Hungary, Dr. Jedlovszky came to the United States to complete her residency and fellowship training. In 2001, she began working at North Country Hospital in Newport, Vermont, where she built their pulmonology program from the ground up. She is also the Chair of the Lung Cancer Screening Taskforce in Vermont and is a passionate proponent of lung cancer screening. She has seen a marked change in patient outlook due to this screening, which can catch lung cancers at a much earlier, and more treatable, stage.
“I feel very strongly about my role as an educator, not just a provider. I work hard to build a partnership with patients to meet their goals.”
Dr. Jedlovszky loves Vermont for the landscape, the attitude towards medicine and the compassion she finds here. She and her husband wanted to raise their two children in a small community so they could focus on family and being involved in their kids’ lives. Now that both her children are in college, she was ready for a change and is glad to be joining Rutland Regional Medical Center. She is an avid tennis player, enjoys swimming and scuba diving, and is a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She and her husband are looking forward to getting to know the Rutland community.
