Dr. Michael Lemieux, an Internal Medicine specialist, has joined the Hospital Medicine team here at Rutland Regional. Dr. Lemieux enjoys the broad scope of internal medicine and the versatility of working in a hospital setting. He believes it is critical to provide medical care in rural areas which is why he chose to work in a community hospital. Dr. Lemieux understands that navigating healthcare is hard, and it’s important to him to work with his patients on making informed decisions.
Compassionate bedside care is integral to my practice. I am meeting my patients when they are nervous due to healthcare problems. My goal is to help appease their fears with a focused plan around their particular needs and wishes.
Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Lemieux spent much of his childhood in Vermont visiting his large extended family. He loves the area and is excited to be living and working in Vermont. Dr. Lemieux enjoys traveling, snowboarding, golf, and being outside in nature.
