American Academy of Nurse Practitioners - Family Nurse Practitioner
Kaitlin “Kait” McCarthy, APRN, worked as an operating room nurse at Rutland Regional Medical Center for the past 10 years before earning her Family Nurse Practitioner degree. She is a problem-solver who is driven to help others. Ms. McCarthy originally built her professional career around accounting, but after working in that field for two years, she chose to redirect herself and became a nurse.
As an active person myself, I know how important it is to be able to live an active lifestyle. When an injury or age takes that away, it can be devastating.
Ms. McCarthy enjoys the continuum of care found in orthopedic medicine, from seeing patients in the office to assisting in the OR for surgical procedures. Working in orthopedic medicine provides opportunities to help people with their quality of life after injury or age has slowed them down.
An avid runner, swimmer and Nordic skier, Ms. McCarthy loves to be outside. She grew up in the Rutland community and enjoys spending time with her family and her three beautiful labs.
