About Me

Dr. Carolina Mendes Pessoa, an endocrinology specialist, is now practicing at the Rutland Diabetes and Endocrinology Center. Dr. Mendes’ specialty focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the endocrine system, a complex network of glands involving hormones that regulate many body functions.

The endocrinology system and the hormones that it produces, play a very important role in helping to regulate body functions like growth, mood, and metabolism. Additionally, endocrinologists diagnose and treat diabetes, bone health, and thyroid disease.
