Biography
Erich Parent is a Vermont native who completed his bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Movement Science at The University of Vermont in 2011, and then his Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Springfield College in Massachusetts. Since starting work at Rutland Regional Medical Center in 2013, Erich has continued his education by completing coursework and one-on-one training to become a Certified Driving Instructor and Driver Rehabilitation Specialist.
He is the primary OT in the Driver Assessment Program which focuses on the assessment and treatment of patients who wish to either continue driving or return to driving after an illness or injury. Erich also works on the acute medical floors where he has experience treating patients admitted for joint replacement, orthopedic injuries, cardiopulmonary conditions, neurological events, degenerative neurological diseases, and issues related to cognitive decline.
