Biography
A native New Englander, David Pierce, PA-C, has traveled the country and feels fortunate to have landed in Vermont. Previously, Pierce worked in medical research and published in several medical journals. Wanting to be closer to patient care, David spent three years in Baltimore at an inpatient pediatric behavioral psychology unit. He found his involvement in patient care, and the ability to work directly with families, to be incredibly rewarding, leading him to earn a degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
“I work hard to build a rapport with patients, as it means we can talk through problems together and come to a solution that makes them happy and keeps them healthy.”
A natural fixer, Pierce is drawn to surgery and its hands-on nature. He is delighted to be a part of Rutland General Surgery. An avid fan of winter and winter sports, Pierce is looking forward to enjoying the outdoor opportunities in the Rutland area.
