About Me

Austin is originally from a suburb of Toledo, OH, and completed a bachelor’s degree in French, Spanish, and Linguistics at New York University in 2015. He then earned his master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Kean University in 2019. Austin began his professional practice in the subacute rehabilitation and long-term care settings before joining the team at Rutland Regional Medical Center, where he provides services to both inpatients and outpatients.

In addition to the above and below mentioned areas of interest/certification, Austin has also completed continuing education coursework in end of life ethics and considerations in speech-language pathology, total laryngectomy management, bilingualism and aphasia, the use of mindfulness in the treatment of language, motor speech, and cognitive-communication disorders, and flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES). Outside of work, Austin enjoys video games, cooking and baking, trying new restaurants, traveling, hiking, and studying world languages.
