About Me

In 2018, Morgan Via came to Vermont to attend college at UVM’s College of Nursing. Originally from California, Ms. Via has found a home in Vermont and a community in Rutland that she loves.

After earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, Ms. Via completed a residency in Geriatrics at the White River Junction Veterans Affairs Medical Center. This experience led to an interest in gastroenterology, and she looks forward to bringing her expertise to Rutland Digestive Services.

Meeting my patients where they are, in a judgement free zone, is a key ingredient in making a difference in their personal health.
— Morgan Via, DNP

While Ms. Via started her career in public health, she found that her one-on-one volunteer work at a nonprofit health clinic in San Francisco was much more satisfying. She went back to school to become a nurse and then a Nurse Practitioner because building relationships and helping people understand their health is her passion. Married to a Vermont native, Ms. Via is happy to be practicing her craft in the Rutland area. She loves to ski, kayak and bike, and enjoys birdwatching. She is looking forward to building a life in this community.
