About Me

A graduate of the University of Vermont Medical School and a native of Rutland, VT, Dan Wigmore, MD, is pleased to be back in the community that played an important role in shaping his life, and is honored to care for the patients here at home. Dr. Wigmore brings experience in minimally invasive surgery and robotics to our area, helping to enhance the options available to patients requiring general surgery.

Surgical interventions aren't always necessary, but when they are, Dr. Wigmore is focused on helping patients understand the role surgery can play in improving their lives. Being engaged, listening, and communicating clearly help his patients feel safe and heard.

Dr. Wigmore was born at Rutland Regional Medical Center and is a graduate of Rutland High School. He grew up skiing at Pico and is looking forward to getting back into winter sports. Dr. Wigmore and his family love Vermont and can't think of a better place to live.
