About Me

Taking care of his neighbors is an integral part of how Nurse Practitioner John "Woody" Wood lives his life. After moving to Vermont over 35 years ago with a degree in forestry, Mr. Wood spent several years working in the outdoors before going back to school and earning his nursing degree. After much encouragement from his peers, Mr. Wood continued to advance his education by earning his APRN degree.

I am here to help, and when I tell my patients that, they can hear the sincerity in my voice. People matter, and I am constantly expanding my skill set so I can better help take care of my community.

When Mr. Wood isn’t at work, you can find him outside with his rescue dog, Pip, hiking and backpacking, canoeing, and biking. He and his family love the Rutland community and are happy to have made their home in Vermont.
