Biography
Christopher Yen, MD, is a Critical Care physician in the Intensive Care Unit at Rutland Regional. A native of Ithaca, NY, Dr. Yen started his career in Billings, MT in 2011 before returning to New England to work at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
“It is essential to communicate honestly and openly with critically ill patients and their families to ensure that they fully understand the clinical situation and so that we are providing treatments and interventions best aligned with their goals of care.”
Dr. Yen enjoys the camaraderie and expertise that exists in community hospitals, and he’s looking forwarding to working with the multidisciplinary team that provides care in the ICU here at Rutland Regional. He and his wife, a doctor at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and a Rutland native, are happy to be raising their family in Vermont.
Dr. Yen enjoys the varied outdoor opportunities of New England, including trail running, back country skiing, rock climbing and biking.
