Published on May 21, 2024
RUTLAND, VT – On Tuesday, May 14, Rutland Regional Medical Center received a generous donation from Oliver Subaru of Rutland in the amount of $31,000, which was generated from the 2023 Subaru Share the Love® event. This donation was in support of the new Infusion Services Center at the hospital.
Jose Oliver, owner, and Curtis VanEpps, Managing Partner of Oliver Subaru of Rutland, along with representatives of Subaru of New England, visited Rutland Regional to present the check in support of the Infusing Hope, Expanding Access campaign for the Infusion Center.
“The Subaru Share the Love campaign is a wonderful opportunity for us to support our region”, said Oliver. “We are proud of our community hospital, and as community members we rely on the critical care and vital programs and services that RRMC provides.”
RRMC President and CEO, Judi Fox was joined by Jonathan Reynolds, Vice President of Clinical Services, Lindsey Munger, Director of Oncology & Diagnostic Imaging Nursing Services, Jillian Nichols, Manager DI Nursing/Infusions/Vascular Access and Stephanie Harte, Oncology & Infusion Services Prior Authorization Supervisor, as well as Traci Moore, Senior Director of Development & Community Relations, in accepting the donation.
“We are so grateful for our partnership with Oliver Subaru of Rutland. Their support over the years has helped us expand access to care and programs in a variety of ways,” said Jonathan Reynolds, PharmD, Vice President of Clinical Operations at RRMC. “The new Infusion Center will allow more patients to have improved access and it provides a more efficient and comfortable space to receive their treatments.”
Since being selected as a Subaru Share the Love beneficiary in 2017, Rutland Regional has received more than $122,000 from the annual Subaru Share the Love event. These donations have supported new 3D breast imaging and nuclear medicine diagnostic equipment, upgrades to the hospital’s psychiatric services inpatient unit, palliative care services, and upgrades to the hospital’s comfort suites for chronically or terminally ill patients, and most recently the Infusion Center.
“This donation far exceeded our expectations,” said Moore, “It is the result of months of promotion by Oliver Subaru and Subaru of New England. Community support continues to play an important role at Rutland Regional, helping us to meet the ever changing healthcare needs of our patients, through innovative, high quality programs and services.”
The Subaru Share the Love event runs annually from mid-November through early January, and with every new Subaru purchased or leased, Subaru donates $250 to select charities.
