RUTLAND, VT – The community is invited to bring their children to the first-ever West Ridge Center Trunk or Treat event which will be held outside at the West Ridge Center on Wednesday, October 30, 5pm-7pm.
The West Ridge Center is located in the Howe Center, 1 Scale Avenue, Building 10, in Rutland. The staff and community partners will provide candy from the trunks of their decorated vehicles in and around the West Ridge Center parking lot.
The staff is getting into the spirit of the season. They are looking forward to this special event and the chance to connect with neighbors and friends.

The idea for the Trunk or Treat has been in progress for some time, and the entire West Ridge Center team is excited about this opportunity to celebrate Halloween with patients, their families, and members of our community.
The West Ridge Center was established by Rutland Regional Medical Center and opened in 2013 to help manage the growing need for addiction recovery in the Rutland area. Opioid Use Disorder affects every aspect of one’s life. The specialists at West Ridge Center provide comprehensive, effective treatment in a caring environment where recovery and personal health are our top priority.
The West Ridge Center specialists combine proven medication-assisted therapies, such as methadone and buprenorphine dosing, with psychological and social counseling to deliver the most effective treatment. Treatment includes strengthening a patient’s connection to family and community and preventing relapse. All aspects of the disorder are treated including social, psychological and medical issues. West Ridge Center also offers a range of educational classes on communicable diseases, nutrition and wellness, addiction and the brain, and relapse skill building.
