RUTLAND, VT – Dr. Dan Ambrus joins the Rutland Heart Center and brings new electrophysiology services to the Rutland region.
As an electrophysiologist, Dr. Ambrus can diagnose and treat disorders of the heart’s electrical system. In his role, Dr. Ambrus will diagnose, treat, and supervise complex arrhythmia cases. He will also implant pacemakers and defibrillators and perform the generator changes for these devices.
“The skills and expertise that Dr. Ambrus brings to the Rutland Heart Center team will further expand access to care and reduce patient wait times, enabling patients to be seen sooner and close to home,” said Dr. Stanley Shapiro, Medical Director of the Rutland Heart Center at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Ambrus joins a well-rounded Rutland Heart Center team that has more than 100 years of combined experience. The team includes Dr. Shapiro, Dr. Michael Robertello, and Dr. Adam Coleman.
“What I really enjoy about taking care of patients, is the ability to make a big difference in a short amount of time,” said Dr. Ambrus. “In this line of work, success is a partnership with the patient, and that is so rewarding.”
Advancement in heart treatments have allowed for a more tailored approach to treating each patient, which is appealing to Dr. Ambrus as well. “Patients can present with a variety of conditions and needs,” add Ambrus. “When I do an assessment, I choose the treatment method that is best for the patient.”
Dr. Ambrus has begun practicing full-time at the Rutland Heart Center and is accepting new patients.
