Published on June 23, 2025
RUTLAND, VT – On Friday, June 27, from 9:30am – 11:30am, Farrell Distributing will host Sticker Shock, an event aimed at raising awareness about underage drinking. The event, which is in partnership with Come Alive Outside and the Regional Partners for Prevention grant through Rutland Regional Medical Center, will be held at Farrell Distributing, 200 Farrell Road, in Rutland, Vermont.
At the event, teen volunteers (ages 12–18) will place stickers on alcohol cases reminding buyers that alcohol is for those 21 and older. The event is being held in advance of the upcoming July 4th holiday to promote healthy choices around drinking for both youth and adults.
Event organizers are seeking volunteers ages 12 and up to participate on Friday, June 27. For more information about volunteering or to sign up please email Heather Brouillard.
A second phase of this campaign will take place in local retail stores, where counter stickers will be available for customers to place on their coolers to indicate if they contain alcohol.
