We realize the importance of peaceful reflection or spiritual conversation, especially in a hospital environment or when coping with a health crisis.
Located on the hospital’s first floor “Main Street” corridor, the Wolk Meditation Room provides a serene and peaceful sanctuary for patients, families and staff to use for contemplation, prayer or simply quiet and thoughtful reflection.
The Wolk Meditation Room was named in honor of Dr. Arthur and Florrie Wolk who lived, worked and raised their family in Rutland. The Wolks were active members of the community and Rutland Regional Medical Center family, dedicating their time and service to the health and well-being of others since 1951.
The Dr. Arthur & Florrie Wolk Meditation Room on the 1st floor across from the Gift Shop offers patients, family members and visitors a peaceful refuge for individual prayer, meditation or communal worship. This space can also be used to meet for quiet conversation with loved ones, social workers or healthcare providers.
The décor is comfortable, soothing and non-denominational. The Dr. Arthur and Florrie Wolk Meditation Center at Rutland Regional is open for patients, families and staff 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
If you are looking for a space for peaceful reflection, or if you would like a spot to share special time with your loved one, we recommend our Garden of Life.
Located just outside our hospital doors, the Garden of Life is a tranquil space with lighted handicap accessible paths, benches, shade trees, water gardens, and two gazebos, as well as a stone labyrinth . This memorial garden provides the perfect setting for patients and visitors to enjoy time together, or the tranquil setting needed to calm a busy mind. If you are interested in making a donation, please contact the Rutland Health Foundation.
Rutland Regional is pleased to provide visitors and staff access to a Mamava lactation pod. This pod provides a private, comfortable space for breastfeeding parents to pump or nurse.
The Mamava lactation pod is located at Rutland Regional on the main floor just inside the Allen Street entrance.
