Breast Care Program at
Rutland Regional

Parrish with woman in breast care room

Rutland’s Breast Care Program provides the comprehensive screening, diagnostic and treatment services you need to maintain optimal breast health – all in one convenient location, close to home.

Our team of caring and compassionate breast care specialists is committed to breast cancer prevention and treatment. We use the most advanced screening and diagnostic technology available to detect breast cancer early, when it is most treatable.

Advanced 3D Mammography

Rutland Regional’s breast care specialists use the newest generation of 3D mammography technology available in Vermont. Two 3D mammography machines were installed in the summer of 2018 into newly appointed examination rooms, designed with your comfort and convenience in mind.

This new technology uses low dose radiation to provide the best available imaging of the breast tissue. This increases the accuracy of the scan.

We offer a range of diagnostic and screening services, including:

  • Digital mammogram
  • Diagnostic mammogram
  • Breast ultrasound
  • Minimally invasive biopsy

Personal Support and Guidance

At Rutland Regional, we understand that an abnormal mammogram or a breast cancer diagnosis can be scary. That’s why we connect you with a certified breast patient navigator who can answer your questions, offer guidance and connect you with community resources throughout your treatment and beyond.

Breast Care for Men

According to the American Cancer Society, approximately 1 in 1,000 men will develop breast cancer during his lifetime. However, because of embarrassment or a lack of awareness about the condition, many men do not seek medical attention for suspicious breast changes. In addition to providing quality breast cancer care, the specialists at Rutland’s Breast Care Program are committed to raising awareness of the condition in men.

Treatment Services

If you require breast cancer treatment, you can rest assured that you will have access to proven, state-of-the-art treatments close to home. The breast care specialists at the Foley Cancer Center will develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your specific condition and needs.
