Our team of caring and compassionate breast imaging specialists are committed to breast cancer prevention and treatment. We use the most advanced screening and diagnostic technology available to detect breast cancer early, when it is most treatable.
Rutland Regional’s breast imaging specialists use the newest generation of 3D mammography technology available in Vermont. Two 3D mammography machines were installed into newly appointed examination rooms, designed with your comfort and convenience in mind.
This new technology uses low dose radiation to provide the best available imaging of the breast tissue. This increases the accuracy of the scan.

According to the American Cancer Society, approximately 1 in 1,000 men will develop breast cancer during his lifetime. However, because of embarrassment or a lack of awareness about the condition, many men do not seek medical attention for suspicious breast changes. In addition to providing quality breast cancer care, the breast imaging specialists are committed to raising awareness of the condition in men.
If you require breast cancer treatment, you can rest assured that you will have access to proven, state-of-the-art treatments close to home. The breast care specialists at the Foley Cancer Center will develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your specific condition and needs.
Effective collaboration among all team members is a key part of developing a treatment plan designed just for you. Our multidisciplinary breast imaging team includes experienced healthcare professionals from a variety of specialty areas – including specialists from other area cancer centers – to ensure that you receive the best, most effective care.
