Infusion Therapy

If you have a condition that requires infusion, injection or transfusion treatment, you can trust our expert staff to provide you with the convenient, comprehensive care you need, close to home.

Medications that are given via infusion help to manage an ever-growing number of diseases, which is why in 2024, Rutland Regional opened our new and expanded Infusion Center. It features eight specially equipped infusion stations, a more comfortable setting and improved patient experience, as well as a negative pressure space for the safety of our patients and staff.

Our specially trained staff members provide treatment for a range of conditions, including:

  • Asthma
  • Autoimmune diseases
  • Chronic anemia
  • Chronic pain
  • Inflammatory bowel disease
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Immune/enzyme deficiencies
  • Iron deficiencies
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Infections

PICC Line (Peripherally-Inserted Central Catheter)

This is a thin, flexible tube that goes from an easy-to-reach vein to a large vein in your body just above your heart. Your medical team gives you fluids, nutrition and medicine though this tube. They can also sample your blood through this tube without sticking you with another needle. A PICC line can stay in your body for a much longer time than a regular IV.
